sketching preparation

Planning patterns isn’t something I often do. I usually set up a pot in front of me and then carve my garden into the surface. But today I had an idea so I’m sketching it out. STARS STARS STARS. . Do you like the top or bottom illustration better? . # #potteryprocess #drawing #illustration #artisttok #claycarving #ideas #art #yyc #Alberta #pencildrawing #carving

skunks skunks skunks

Wee skunks, before capture. Mama had been trapped and removed, leaving orphans to wander our Mckenzie Towne, Calgary, Alberta, Canada neighbourhood for days. We captured these kits and their siblings and took them to the reputable Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation for care. Yes, they did eventually spray! Not as toxic as an adult 🤣 . . #skunks #skunksofinstagram #skunkbabies #yyc #alberta #wildlife #babyanimals #skunkkits

a little break

Pause // we “should” be prepping for our show on October 23 at @fibreshindig but instead we took the weekend to escape to camp – disconnect, reconnect, and soak up the glorious autumn. Sometimes, we have to remember that the days are long, but the years are so very short. . . . [Image description: There is a dirt pathway through a forest of yellow leaved birch and aspen trees, and some conifers dabbled about. On the path is a tanned white older child with long curly brown hair, his back to the viewer, in blue shorts, a bright yellow t-shirt, holding a long stick out to the side. The sun shines warmly on the autumn scene.] . . #Alberta #Autumn #AlbertaHikes #kananaskis #family
