It is now one month since surgery, and I’m up and about in the perrennial garden for the first time to review what a month of neglect has rendered. My garden has succulents galore, with hen & chicks reminiscent of my paternal grandmother’s garden, and three varieties of sedum plus stonecrop. Calgary’s climate is arid with cold nights which makes these winners in my beds (and they appear on my pots often) The columbines are blooming, the new addition of yellow daisies are doing well, and what was a patch of white bells has sprouted a purple stalk. Yay genetics! My Hope For Humanity roses are completely out of control with blooms, and for that, I am so grateful. I’m coming out of the fog focused on healing while trying to be patient with myself. I’m not great at being patient but I’m trying. #yycgarden #patience
